Hey y’all! It’s 10:43 a.m. We’re all expecting a new “Low Lift Ask” in about an hour and 17. Was just about to type up a brand new post when I realized that, well—honestly, I realized I hadn’t been doing the work. What you guys come here for—week after week, checking account withdrawal after checking account withdrawal—is artfully curated discourse. An arrow, straight and true, to the beating heart of what’s going on today. And how can I provide that when my tabs look like this?
I will now consume every one of these tabs, whether longform article or YouTube video, and come back with the best one.
I’ve just come back. It’s now 11:17 a.m. I’ve taken in so much. It’s so difficult to make a decision on what to share with you all. I guess the truth is that, after all of those longform articles, all of the deeply reported stories searching for some sort of moral center amidst the complexity of human frailty, I liked this YouTube video the most.
