Two weeks into the Adams administration, the prevailing sentiment seems to be “damn, this guy is really weird, huh.” Mayor Eric Adams came to power on vague platitudes about policing and putting Ethereum-powered peep shows in Times Square. And now that everyone’s realized that he’s sort of a weird moron, all of the cranks are coming out of the woodwork, writing their little New York Times articles, and suggesting ideas like this:

When I saw this this morning, I deleted my 5000 word essay about dialectical materialism (it was really funny though) and decided to comment on what I think this land will be used for instead: Housing Indian software engineers that move here from the Bay during COVID because “it’s easier to date,” not realizing that they are the reason that dating in the Bay is hard…
