
Activists with @JustStop_Oil have thrown tomato soup on Van Gogh’s Sunflowers at the national Gallery and glued themselves to the wall.
We don’t do climate protests with as much creativity as the Brits do. There is a special level of vitriol reserved especially for climate protestors in that society—a level of mouth-froth almost unimaginable to me. People are mad about this painting, which they probably hadn’t thought about since high school art, they’re extremely upset at the protestors for not protesting correctly and without disruption to their lives. Well… I say a big fat honking who cares about the painting (it’s fine btw) and a big fat honking let’s plan to do this again to the climate protestors…
